Accessibility
We build Rockbeach Currents to be usable by everyone on your staff. This page says what we have actually done and what we have not, because a claim we have not tested is worth less than nothing to the person relying on it.
Where we stand
We target WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We have not been independently audited, and we do not claim conformance. We would rather tell you that than sign a form we cannot stand behind.
What is in place
- Color contrast is enforced by automated tests. Every color scheme a school can choose is checked against WCAG contrast ratios before it can ship — including text on accent backgrounds, which is where most branded software fails.
- Color is never the only signal. Figures behind goal carry a sign and a label as well as a color, so a report is readable without distinguishing red from green.
- Form fields have real labels, and errors say what to do rather than only what went wrong.
- Keyboard focus is visible, and interactive elements are reachable by keyboard.
- Pages use headings and landmarks in a meaningful order rather than for styling.
- Wide tables scroll inside their own container instead of forcing the page sideways.
Known gaps
- No independent audit has been done. A self-assessed WCAG 2.2 conformance report (VPAT 2.5 format, 10 October 2026) is published here; it marks each gap as Partially Supports rather than rounding up.
- Screen-reader behavior on the denser reporting screens — the pricing matrix and the game revenue grid — has not been systematically tested.
- Some data visualizations do not yet have a text equivalent.
If something is in your way
Tell us and we will fix it. Write to legal@rockbeachcurrents.com or use the help form — say which page and what happened. You will get a reply from a person within one business day.
If your institution needs a VPAT or a completed accessibility section of a HECVAT, ask and we will complete it honestly, including the gaps above.
