Terms of use

Version 0.3 · 9 September 2026

These terms have not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. They say what we actually mean and we intend to stand behind them, but if you are evaluating Rockbeach Currents on behalf of an institution and need reviewed terms before signing, write to legal@rockbeachcurrents.com and we will get them in front of counsel for you.

1. Who we are and what this covers

Rockbeach Currents (“the Service”) is operated by Rockbeach, LLC (“Rockbeach”, “we”). These terms apply to every person who signs in, whether you work for the subscribing athletic department (“the School”) or for a partner agency the School has engaged.

By signing in you agree to these terms personally, in addition to any agreement between Rockbeach and your employer.

2. Your data is yours

The School owns its data. Everything entered into the Service — revenue figures, goals, sponsor records, staff and rep records, notes — remains the School’s property. Rockbeach claims no ownership of it and does not sell it.

3. What we may do with it

To operate the Service, the School grants Rockbeach a limited license to store, process, display and back up its data, for these purposes only:

  • Providing the Service to the School and the people it has authorized
  • Generating the School’s own reports, analyses and forecasts
  • Maintaining backups and restoring from them
  • Diagnosing faults and improving reliability

We may produce aggregated, de-identified benchmarks across multiple schools — an average renewal rate by conference, for example. Aggregates never identify a School and never expose one School’s figures to another.

We will not sell your data, and we will not share it with another athletic department or a competing agency.

4. What we hold, and what we do not

The Service holds operational and staff data: revenue by category, goals, sponsor accounts and their named contacts, and records for the School’s staff and sales representatives including names, work email addresses, hire and departure dates, and individual activity and sales figures.

The Service does not hold ticket-buyer or donor personal data, payment card details, or any individual fan’s account information. Rockbeach never asks for them and has no facility to store them.

Where the Service holds personal data about staff, we process it on the School’s instructions as its service provider, for the purposes in section 3 and no others. The full list of companies who process it on our behalf is published at subprocessors.

5. How long we keep it

  • While your subscription is active, we keep your data so the Service works.
  • After your subscription ends, we keep it for 365 days, so a School returning within a year finds its history intact rather than starting again.
  • After 365 days we destroy it — including backups. No copy is retained for any purpose.

You may ask us to delete your data sooner and we will do so within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep it. You may export your data at any time while your subscription is active.

6. Your responsibilities

  • Keep your sign-in credentials to yourself. Accounts are personal and not to be shared.
  • Enter figures accurately and in good faith. The Service reports what you enter; it does not audit it.
  • Tell us promptly if someone should no longer have access.
  • Do not attempt to reach data belonging to a School you have not been authorized for.

7. Competitive use

You may not:

  • Reproduce, redistribute or publish data from the Service outside your own organization, except your own School’s data used for your own School’s purposes
  • Use the Service, or data or analysis obtained from it, to build, train, improve or market a competing product or service
  • Access the Service on behalf of a business that provides outsourced ticket sales, sponsorship sales or athletics revenue software, unless a School has expressly authorized you as its representative

Signing up independently while employed by such a business — rather than being invited by a School — is a breach of this section.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate an individual account immediately, without refund, where we reasonably believe that person has breached section 6 or 7.

Terminating an individual does not end the School’s subscription, and the School’s data is unaffected.

We may terminate a School’s subscription for non-payment or material breach, on notice.

9. Cancelling, and refunds

A School may cancel at any time, and the School Administrator can do it from within the Service without contacting us.

Monthly plans. Access continues to the end of the month already paid for, and nothing further is charged. That month is not refunded.

Annual plans. Access continues to the end of the year already paid for, and nothing further is charged. Unused months are not refunded — the discount on the annual price is what was given in exchange for the commitment. We may, at our discretion, refund unused months at the monthly rate.

Thirty days to change your mind. A School’s first payment — monthly or annual — is refunded in full if the School cancels within 30 days of that payment. No reason is required. This applies once, to the first payment only; later renewals are covered by the paragraphs above.

Cancelling does not delete the School’s data. It is kept, and remains exportable, for the period set out in section 5, after which it is deleted.

10. Availability, and what we do not promise

We work to keep the Service available and accurate, and we do not guarantee either. The Service presents figures your own people entered and analysis derived from them. It is decision support, not an audited financial record, and should not be relied on as one for board reporting, external filings or compensation decisions without your own verification.

11. Liability

To the extent the law allows, Rockbeach’s total liability arising from the Service is limited to the fees paid in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything that cannot be limited by law.

12. Changes to these terms

Rockbeach Currents is being built quickly and these terms will change as it does. When they change materially we will tell account holders by email at least 30 days before the new version takes effect, and continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept it.

If you do not accept a change, you are not held to it. Cancel under section 9 before the new version takes effect and the terms you did accept govern you until your access ends. Continuing to use the Service is the only thing that counts as agreement — silence while you are cancelling is not.

Every version is numbered and dated. This is version 0.3, 9 September 2026, and when you create an account we record which version you accepted and on what date.
