WCAG Edition

(Based on VPAT® Version 2.5)

Name of Product/Version: Rockbeach Currents (web application), build of 10 October 2026.

Report Date: 10 October 2026

Product Description: Rockbeach Currents is a browser-based sponsorship office for college athletic departments: sponsor and partner records, sponsor list upload with AI review, partner review and pitch decks, prospects, checklists, files, and an in-product help assistant (Ask Currents). Rockbeach staff use admin pages in the same application. It is responsive and used on desktop and phone browsers.

Contact Information: Rockbeach, LLC. Accessibility inquiries: hello@rockbeachcurrents.com (the contact on the Currents Help page). Accessibility statement: /legal/accessibility. This report: /legal/accessibility/vpat.

Notes: This report is a self-assessment by the vendor, Rockbeach, LLC. It was not independently verified by a third party. Scope: Rockbeach Currents (portal web application): the public front page, login, sign-up and password reset, the school portal at sponsorship tier (sponsorships, partners, partner review and pitch decks, prospects and Prospect Finder, sponsor list upload, checklists, files, activity), Rockbeach staff admin pages, and shared components (Ask Currents panel, FileDrop, activity feed, collapsibles, charts, sortable tables). Not covered: Stripe-hosted checkout and billing pages, email messages, and downloaded files (PDF and PowerPoint exports).

Evaluation Methods Used: Static code review of src/app against each WCAG 2.2 Level A and AA success criterion, plus automated checks run with node:test: tests/themes.test.ts (contrast of every school color scheme at WCAG ratios) and tests/accessibility.test.ts (skip link, landmark, focus ring, reduced motion, image alt, zoom not blocked, Ask Currents keyboard and live-region behavior). No assistive-technology session and no in-browser scanner (axe, pa11y) was run for this review; those are listed as follow-ups.

Summary: Supports: 34; Partially Supports: 15; Does Not Support: 0; Not Applicable: 7.

Table 1: Success Criteria, Level A

CriteriaConformance LevelRemarks and Explanations
1.1.1 Non-text Content (Level A)Partially SupportsLogos carry alt text (school logo alt="" beside its visible name; Rockbeach seal alt="Rockbeach"); every <img> has alt (tests/accessibility.test.ts). PieChart now names itself with its segment percentages (fixed 10 Oct). Decorative SVG marks use aria-hidden. Known issue: StackedBar, MiniFillBar and sparkline-style figures rely on adjacent text that is not always a full equivalent; add aria-label or a visually hidden summary to each.
1.2.1 Audio-only and Video-only (Prerecorded) (Level A)Not ApplicableNo prerecorded audio-only or video-only content in the product.
1.2.2 Captions (Prerecorded) (Level A)Not ApplicableNo prerecorded synchronized media.
1.2.3 Audio Description or Media Alternative (Prerecorded) (Level A)Not ApplicableNo prerecorded synchronized media.
1.3.1 Info and Relationships (Level A)Partially SupportsHeadings, nav/main/header landmarks, data tables with header cells, native details/summary collapsibles, labelled inputs on login, sign-up and apply. Known issue: Some filter and grid inputs (44 files use placeholder text) need an audit for a programmatic label; dense grids (pricing matrix, game revenue) not tested with a screen reader.
1.3.2 Meaningful Sequence (Level A)SupportsDOM order matches visual order; layout uses flex/grid without reordering.
1.3.3 Sensory Characteristics (Level A)SupportsInstructions refer to names and labels, not shape or position alone.
1.4.1 Use of Color (Level A)SupportsFigures behind goal carry a sign and label as well as color; status pills have text.
1.4.2 Audio Control (Level A)Not ApplicableNo audio plays automatically.
2.1.1 Keyboard (Level A)Partially SupportsNative links, buttons, inputs and details/summary; sortable headers are buttons; FileDrop keeps the native file input focusable; Ask panel reachable and closable by keyboard. Known issue: Dense editing grids not fully walked by keyboard.
2.1.2 No Keyboard Trap (Level A)SupportsAsk Currents is a non-modal panel; Escape closes it and returns focus (fixed 10 Oct).
2.1.4 Character Key Shortcuts (Level A)SupportsNo single-character shortcuts.
2.2.1 Timing Adjustable (Level A)Partially SupportsNo timed tasks. Known issue: Sign-in sessions end after 12 hours without warning, which can lose unsaved entry; add a warning or extend on activity.
2.2.2 Pause, Stop, Hide (Level A)SupportsNo auto-moving or blinking content in the product; prefers-reduced-motion stops transitions and animations site-wide (added 10 Oct).
2.3.1 Three Flashes or Below Threshold (Level A)SupportsNo flashing content.
2.4.1 Bypass Blocks (Level A)SupportsSkip to content link is the first tab stop on every signed-in page, targeting main#main-content (added 10 Oct).
2.4.2 Page Titled (Level A)Partially SupportsRoot layout and many pages set metadata titles. Known issue: Not every portal page sets its own title; add generateMetadata per page.
2.4.3 Focus Order (Level A)SupportsDOM order; Ask panel focuses its question field on open and returns focus to the Ask button on close.
2.4.4 Link Purpose (In Context) (Level A)SupportsLink text names the destination.
2.5.1 Pointer Gestures (Level A)SupportsNo multipoint or path gestures.
2.5.2 Pointer Cancellation (Level A)SupportsActions fire on click (up event).
2.5.3 Label in Name (Level A)SupportsAccessible names start with the visible label (Ask, Close Ask Currents, Skip to content).
2.5.4 Motion Actuation (Level A)Not ApplicableNo motion-triggered functions.
3.1.1 Language of Page (Level A)Supportshtml lang="en".
3.2.1 On Focus (Level A)SupportsFocus never changes context.
3.2.2 On Input (Level A)SupportsSelecting a value does not navigate without a submit; no onChange navigation found.
3.2.6 Consistent Help (Level A)SupportsAsk Currents sits bottom-right on every signed-in page and links to Help; the Help page and its contact are reached the same way throughout.
3.3.1 Error Identification (Level A)SupportsServer actions return text errors beside the field or form.
3.3.2 Labels or Instructions (Level A)Partially SupportsLabels on auth and apply forms; hints under file inputs. Known issue: Placeholder-only fields in some filters (see 1.3.1).
3.3.7 Redundant Entry (Level A)SupportsSetup wizard resumes with prior answers (SetupResume); school details are entered once and reused.
4.1.1 Parsing (obsolete in WCAG 2.2) (Level A)SupportsRemoved from WCAG 2.2 and treated as satisfied; markup is generated by React.
4.1.2 Name, Role, Value (Level A)Partially SupportsNative controls; Ask button exposes aria-expanded; Ask panel is a named dialog. Known issue: Custom toggles (nav chevrons, filter pills) need a check for state attributes.

Table 2: Success Criteria, Level AA

CriteriaConformance LevelRemarks and Explanations
1.2.4 Captions (Live) (Level AA)Not ApplicableNo live media.
1.2.5 Audio Description (Prerecorded) (Level AA)Not ApplicableNo prerecorded synchronized media.
1.3.4 Orientation (Level AA)SupportsNo orientation lock; responsive to 375px.
1.3.5 Identify Input Purpose (Level AA)SupportsLogin, sign-up, forgot, reset and invite fields set autocomplete (username, email, current-password, new-password).
1.4.3 Contrast (Minimum) (Level AA)Partially SupportsEvery school color scheme is measured against 4.5:1 and 3:1 in tests/themes.test.ts. Base tokens pass on chalk (#f5f3ee): ink #0b1e33, slate #586876 (about 5.3:1), brick #b23a2e. Known issue: Hard-coded greys outside the theme tokens (for example in newer components) are not all measured; extend the contrast test to the full stylesheet.
1.4.4 Resize Text (Level AA)SupportsNo zoom lock (guarded by test); text scales with browser zoom to 200%.
1.4.5 Images of Text (Level AA)SupportsText is live text; logos are the only images of text.
1.4.10 Reflow (Level AA)Partially SupportsPages reflow to 320 CSS px; wide tables scroll inside their own container. Known issue: Pricing matrix, game revenue grid and CRR need two-dimensional scrolling (permitted for data tables), but their toolbars should be checked at 320px.
1.4.11 Non-text Contrast (Level AA)Partially SupportsFocus ring #175cd3 (above 3:1 on white and chalk); buttons are solid fills. Known issue: Input borders use --line #dad5c8, below 3:1 against white; darken the field border token.
1.4.12 Text Spacing (Level AA)Partially SupportsNo fixed-height text containers found in the reviewed components. Known issue: Not tested with a text-spacing override; verify pills and topbar badges.
1.4.13 Content on Hover or Focus (Level AA)SupportsNo custom hover popovers; hints are static text or native title attributes.
2.4.5 Multiple Ways (Level AA)SupportsSidebar navigation, page guide, Help and the Ask Currents assistant.
2.4.6 Headings and Labels (Level AA)SupportsEach page has an h1 in the topbar; section headings describe content.
2.4.7 Focus Visible (Level AA)SupportsGlobal :focus-visible ring on every interactive element that lacks its own (added 10 Oct); component rings kept.
2.4.11 Focus Not Obscured (Minimum) (Level AA)Partially Supportsscroll-padding-bottom keeps focused fields clear of the fixed Ask button and save bar; the Ask button can be tucked to a side tab. Known issue: Not verified on phones with the cookie notice and save bar both present.
2.5.7 Dragging Movements (Level AA)SupportsFileDrop accepts a drop but always shows the native Choose file control; no drag-only interactions exist (no draggable or onDragStart in src/app).
2.5.8 Target Size (Minimum) (Level AA)Partially SupportsAsk controls are 36 to 44px; primary buttons 40px or more. Known issue: Inline table controls and small sort headers not measured against 24px; audit SortableTable and pills.
3.1.2 Language of Parts (Level AA)SupportsContent is English only.
3.2.3 Consistent Navigation (Level AA)SupportsOne AppShell renders the same sidebar and topbar on every signed-in page.
3.2.4 Consistent Identification (Level AA)SupportsShared components (FileDrop, SortableTable, NextStep) keep the same names.
3.3.3 Error Suggestion (Level AA)SupportsErrors say what to do.
3.3.4 Error Prevention (Legal, Financial, Data) (Level AA)Partially SupportsInvoices and billing confirm before sending; uploads show a review step before loading. Known issue: Not every destructive edit in sponsorship records has a confirm or undo.
3.3.8 Accessible Authentication (Minimum) (Level AA)SupportsEmail and password with autocomplete, paste allowed, password managers work; no CAPTCHA or cognitive test; reset by emailed link.
4.1.3 Status Messages (Level AA)Partially SupportsAsk Currents announces each finished answer once through a role=status region instead of every streamed chunk (fixed 10 Oct); about 30 components use role=status/alert or aria-live. Known issue: Save confirmations on some entry pages are visual only.
